Roulette history and rules.

The word roulette is French and means "little wheel" Roulette like many other casino games is one of the oldest casino games although history does not really specify accurately from where it originated but one thing is for sure , It was enjoyed and widely played by people in all ages.

Some stories say that it was invented by Blaise pascal who was a mathematician in 1655 , other theories suggest it was invented in China and played was played by monks who later travelled the globe and this game became famous in other parts of the world too . However it was introduced in America in 19th century and became very popular among the people.

Roulette fact : Roulette is sometimes referred as devils game because of the fact that all numbers on roulette wheel add upto 666 .

Rules of roulette To understand rules of roulette one should first have the knowledge and understanding of the table and also the the right kind of bet to make. • There are 36 slots in the roulette wheel which are alternatively colored black and red • There are 2 additional slots for zero and double zero depending on whether the player is using American or European version.
There are 2 kinds of bet
1) Inside bet - which is based on independent numbers or set of numbers
2) Outside bet - there are three varieties of bets based on a set of twelve numbers, low (1-12), middle (12-24), and high (25-36). The payout for this kind of bet is 2 is to 1.

Before the start of the game the user is required to place a bet and they can continue to place their bet even when the wheel is spinning and placing of bet ends when the croupier says “no more bets”.It is the dealer who decides when the betting round ends which the dealer declares to inform all the players that no more bets are allowed. Player’s win is determined from from which number the roulette ball lands on and the player is then paid according to their bet.
